 Sunday evening at a hospital in Indianapolis occured the death of  Jacob S. Simms, a well known farmer of this community. His death  was caused by hydrocephalus, from which he had been afflicated  for the past nine years. The deceased was born in this county  Sept. 7, 1861, the son of Mr. and Mrs. George Simms. He was  married in 1895 to Miss Lennie Dowden and to this union seven  children were born, three daughters, Mabel and Myrtle, deceased,  and Nellie at home, and four sons, Luther, Floyd, and Clinton.  Besides these children he is also survived by his wife and other  close relatives. The dy was brought to the Proffitt undertaking  parlors in this city Sunday eveing and will be kept there until  Tuesday afternoon. The funeral services will be held at the  Young's Chapel, of which he was a member, and the services will  be conducted by Rev. Samuel Smith of Ladoga. Burial will be made  in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.
